Join us for masterful chamber music when the pianist Jan Gunnar Sørbø and string players from Stavanger Symphony Orchestra perform play Brahms piano quartets at Utstein Monastery. The main work is Johannes Brahms’ piano quartet in g minor (opus 25) – one of chamber music’s most beloved works. Ranging from the vulnerable, via the jocular and serious to the playful and cheerful, this work contains an exceptional variety of musical expressions. This gives the international quartet – with members from Norway, Japan and the USA – quite a challenge. The combination of a masterpiece, passionate musicians and a concert setting just perfect for chamber music is sure to result in a top-quality musical event!
